David joined the Louisiana Community Development Authority as an Executive Board Member in 2017. He is a lifelong resident of Terrebonne Parish, and has one son. Since 2006 David has served as the Executive Director of the Terrebonne Port Commission, a thriving oil and gas service port that supports thousands of jobs.
David graduated from Nicholls State University in 1987 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering Technology, and studied Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering at the University of New Orleans. He has over thirty years’ experience in the oil and gas, marine fabrication, chemical, and construction industries. During that time, David managed and worked on many projects vital to Louisiana industry.
Former Board Member of the Houma-Terrebonne Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. He is the former chairman of the Terrebonne Parish Coastal Zone Advisory Committee, former chairman of the Terrebonne Parish Coastal Restoration Committee, former president of the Houma Sunrise Rotary Club, and former vice president of the Terrebonne Port Commission.
